What you are agreeing to when you buy from this site. Written to describe what actually happens, not to cover us.
Who you are buying from
Practice Eco sells household goods and publishes evidence-graded writing about them. Orders are taken on this site and paid through Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
Prices, currency and tax
All prices are in US dollars and include our estimate of import duty, payment fees and returns provision. We do not add sales tax or VAT at checkout. Depending on where you live, your own customs authority may charge duty or import VAT when the parcel arrives, and that charge is yours. We would rather say this plainly than surprise you at the door.
Shipping
Shipping is free, worldwide, on every item. It is already inside the price rather than added at the end. Most items ship directly from a supplier warehouse, which is why delivery estimates on product pages are ranges we have observed rather than promises a courier has made.
Stock and cancellation
Because items ship from supplier warehouses, availability can change between your order and our order. If we cannot fill your order we will cancel it and refund you in full — we will not substitute a different item without asking you first.
Returns
You may return any item within 30 days of delivery for a full refund of what you paid, including any shipping you were charged. Tell us at hello@practiceeco.com before sending anything back so we can tell you where it goes. Return postage is yours unless the item arrived damaged, faulty, or is not what the page described — in those cases we pay, and we would rather you told us than absorbed it.
If you are a consumer in the EU or UK you also have a statutory right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of delivery without giving a reason. That right exists whatever this page says; the 30 days above is longer, so use whichever suits you.
What we publish
Articles on this site carry the evidence grade of the claims behind them. Where we do not know something, we say so. Nothing here is professional, legal, medical or safety advice, and a product page describing what a thing is made of is not a claim that it is safe for a particular use.
Your data
What we collect and why is in the privacy policy. Your address is passed to the supplier who ships your order, because otherwise it cannot reach you.
When something goes wrong
Write to hello@practiceeco.com. A real person reads it. If we have made a mistake we would rather fix it than argue about whether this page covers us for it.
